The Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) invites the general public to attend a public forum scheduled on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 10:30 am at the Perdido Beach Resort Hotel located at 27200 Perdido Beach Blvd., Orange Beach AL 36561. The forum will be conducted by ADECA and Mr. Robert Gaudin of Western Economic Services, LLC from Portland, OR. A similar forum will also be conducted at 4:00 pm in conjunction with the Community Development Block Grant Compliance Workshop held at the Perdido Beach Resort.
As a means of affirmatively furthering fair housing within Alabama to eliminate direct and/or indirect discrimination in housing and related services based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, familial status, or disability, ADECA is seeking the public’s input by hosting these forums, which will assist ADECA in complying with the federal civil rights program-related laws and requirements. These forums will allow citizens opportunities to discuss Alabama’s “Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice.”
Book hotel reservations at the Perdido Beach Resort using the Booking ID# 11307 by November 1st to receive the block room rate of $99/night.
The Perdido Beach Resort is handicap accessible, and the forums will be accessible to all persons regardless of disability.
