Putting aside the highly charged political controversies over Obamacare, the debt ceiling and the 16-day shutdown of the federal government, the Continuing Resolution (“CR”) enacted by Congress did include some good news for affordable rental housing. Section 149 of HR 2775, the Continuing Appropriations Act, 2014, extends the second component of the Rental Assistance Demonstration (“RAD”) program through January 15, 2014, the duration of the CR.
